(1900-1993) Хейс, ХеленНастоящее имя - Хелен Браун [Brown, Helen]. Актриса театра и кино. За свою 66-летнюю карьеру "первая леди" американского театра создала десятки ролей на сцене и в кино. Лауреат премии "Тони" [ Tony Award] (1958), премии "Эмми" [ Emmy Award] (1954), дважды - премии "Оскар" [ Oscar], (1932 и 1970). Почетный доктор литературы и гуманитарных наук двух университетов и нескольких колледжей, президент Американского национального театра и Американского театрального общества. В 1971 прекратила выступления на сцене, но до глубокой старости продолжала активную преподавательскую и общественную деятельность.
